Letter to Mao Zerong [I]
(May 2, 1953)

Dear Zerong,

Your letter of April 9 and the gift of food you kindly sent have both been received. Thank you.

Because your eyes are ill, it might be inconvenient for you to travel on the road; it seems unnecessary for you to come to Beijing to see me.

If you have any difficulties, you may let me know, and I will try to find a way to help you solve them.

This is my reply. I wish you good health!

Mao Zedong
