Comrade Chen Yun:
Please read this document. Every day, use a towel dipped in hot water to rub the body, first hot then cold, alternating cold and hot, to exercise the skin's capillaries to contract and expand. Each session can last half an hour, up to one hour, and after rubbing, the whole body will feel warm. Once or twice a day, persisting for one to two years can yield significant results. It seems worth trying.

[1] Chen Yun, then serving as Secretary of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, Vice Premier of the Government Administration Council, and Director of the Financial and Economic Committee, was recuperating due to illness.
[2] This first part is a comment written on a report dated March 18, 1953, from He Cheng, Minister of the Health Department of the People's Revolutionary Military Commission, and Fu Lianzhang, Deputy Minister, to Mao Zedong regarding the health condition of Lin Biao, Vice Chairman of the People's Revolutionary Military Commission. The report stated: "Lin Biao is now cooperating with the doctors and has expressed the hope that they can help him resolve the issues of sweating and susceptibility to colds. A Soviet internal medicine expert has suggested daily rubbing of the body with water and alcohol to strengthen the skin's resistance. He has agreed, and the trial will begin in a few days." This second part is a comment on the sentence in the report: "A Soviet internal medicine expert has suggested daily rubbing of the body with water and alcohol to strengthen the skin's resistance."

Comrade Lin Biao long refused to follow the doctors' advice, but now he is listening, and his condition has improved.
Using alcohol does not seem very good.
