Letter to Li Da[1]

(September 17, 1952)

Brother Heming:

Your letter of September 11 has been received. All previous letters have also been received.

The three characters "Ai Wan Ting" have been written as requested on a separate sheet.

In *On Contradiction*, Chapter IV, paragraph 10, line 3: "In no contradiction, and at no time, is the development of the contradictory aspects ever balanced." The eight characters "and at no time" should be deleted. In the second edition of the first volume of the *Selected Works*, these eight characters have already been removed. When you write your commentary, please pay attention to this.

With regards and wishing you well in your teaching.
