Additions Written on the Draft of the Central Committee’s Circular [1] Forwarding the Dingxi Prefectural Party Committee’s Inspection Report on the Implementation of Ethnic Policies (September 16, 1952) The Central Committee hopes that each county and prefectural party committee in Northwest, Southwest, and Central-South China—where ethnic minorities are concentrated or live intermingled with the Han population—will, like the Jingyuan County Party Committee and the Dingxi Prefectural Party Committee in Gansu, conduct a thorough inspection of the work carried out in the districts and townships under their jurisdiction and then submit a report to the Central Committee. This telegram and its attachments may be published in Party periodicals. Printed from Mao Zedong’s manuscript. Notes [ ] Refers to the Central Committee’s telegram of September 16, 1952, which forwarded the Dingxi Prefectural Party Committee’s inspection report on the implementation of ethnic policies to the Northwest Bureau and also informed the Southwest and Central-South Bureaus. This passage is one that Mao Zedong added at the end of the draft of that telegram.
