Comments on the Report from the Secretariat of the CPC Central Office Concerning Letters from the Public Reflecting on Unemployment Situations

Premier Zhou:
The problem of unemployment remains quite serious. Please take a look at this document[1]. It would seem advisable for the Central Ministry of Labor, or directly for the Government Administration Council, to convene a meeting on the handling of the unemployment issue, with representatives from the major cities······ and from all provinces in attendance, in order to formulate practical measures for its resolution. Please make a decision as you see fit.
