Telegram to the Dalai and Panchen[1] on the First Anniversary of the Signing of the Agreement on Measures for the Peaceful Liberation of Tibet

Dalai Lama, Mr. Panchen Erdeni:

Thank you for your telegram of May 23. On this festive day of the anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Tibet, your telegram expressing your wish to strive for the gradual and complete realization of the "Agreement on Measures for the Peaceful Liberation of Tibet" is extremely gratifying. I celebrate the even closer unity of you and all the Tibetan people with the people of all fraternal nationalities of the entire country, working with one heart and one mind to build our great motherland and a prosperous and happy new Tibet, and I celebrate your success and health!
