Comments on the Central-South Military Region Party Committee’s Report on the “Tiger-Hunting” Campaign (February 7, 1952) To the Central-South Military Region Party Committee: Your report of February 6 has been received. Your “tiger-hunting” plan is far too modest. The number of “big tigers” should be increased by at least fivefold—instead of 107, there should be more than 500. As for the “medium and small tigers,” the figure should not be a little over 1,100 but rather more than 5,000. This total may include units directly under the command of the Military Region.
