Comment on the Report on the Deployment of Tiger Hunting
(January 27, 1952)

To the major military regions, the Volunteer Army, and for the information of all central bureaus:

The resolve and deployment of the East China Military Region [1] are both very good. Please consider and handle matters accordingly. In February, the entire army shall launch a campaign to hunt big tigers, and at least two thousand to three thousand must be struck. In February, there shall be no reorganization; devote full efforts to the Three-Antis. For those who have not yet reported or confessed, continue to conduct inspections and confessions, uncovering large numbers of small and medium-scale corruption, but the focus should shift to hunting tigers. This shift in tasks may be carried out by some on February 1, by some on February 5, or February 10, or February 15, but must be completed no later than February 15, to be managed by you. Strive to finish hunting all tigers in the entire army by February 28 and conclude the Three-Antis.
