(December 12, 1951)

Comrades, all delegates to the Representative Conference of the People of All Nationalities in the Northwest on Resisting U.S. Aggression and Aiding Korea:

Thank you for your telegram. Over the past year and more, the people of all nationalities in the Northwest have made great efforts and achieved significant results in the patriotic struggle to resist U.S. aggression and aid Korea. At this representative conference, you have decided to further unite the people of all nationalities, increase production, practice strict economy, and carry out patriotic publicity and education work in support of the Chinese People’s Volunteers. This is very good. One of the reasons why imperialism dared to bully China in the past was the disunity among China’s nationalities, but that era is gone forever. From the day the People’s Republic of China was founded, China’s nationalities began to unite into a great family of friendship and cooperation, fully capable of defeating any imperialist aggression and building our motherland into a prosperous and powerful country.

I wish your conference success!
