Letter to He Xiaoming

(October 10, 1951)

Brother Xiaolin[1]:

Your letter of September 14 has been received. I am very grateful that you have informed me of many matters. Your family has been allocated land, and your livelihood is now secure. I extend my congratulations to you. It is very good that you are engaged in farming in the countryside; you should not come to the capital. This is my reply.

Wishing you diligence,

Mao Zedong

[1] Xiaolin is a mistake for Xiaoming. Mao Zedong should have addressed He Xiaoming as younger brother.
