(September 2, 1951)

Marshal Stalin:

On the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japan, I wish to extend, on behalf of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and the entire Chinese people, warm congratulations and profound gratitude to you, to the Soviet armed forces, and to the Soviet people. The tremendous assistance rendered by the Soviet Union to the Chinese people during the War of Resistance Against Japan, and the solid alliance between the Soviet Union and the People's Republic of China for jointly preventing the resurgence of Japanese aggressive forces, have given the Chinese people boundless inspiration in their struggle against the aggressive forces in the Far East. Long live the great friendship between China and the Soviet Union in the just cause of opposing Japanese imperialism and safeguarding peace in the Far East!
