\[3\] Deng Zihui’s telegram to Mao Zedong on September 25, 1951, stated: “I returned to Wuhan only last night. As I need to acquaint myself with some work situations, and because my elderly mother passed away the day before yesterday and I must attend to the funeral arrangements, I plan to go to Beijing after the National Day celebrations. Is this permissible? Requesting instructions.”
