Telegram to Gao Gang Regarding the Reception Work for Yudin’s Visit to China

(July 20, 1951)

Comrade Gao Gang:

Comrade Filippov has agreed to our request and is once again sending Comrade Yudin to China to assist us with work in theoretical education and other areas, for a period of three months. Comrade Yudin departed on July 15 and can arrive at Manzhouli on July 21. Please immediately dispatch appropriate personnel to provide a proper reception.

After he arrives in the Northeast, please have a sincere discussion with him once. If he wishes to come to Beijing first, then please send personnel to escort him to the capital. If he wishes first to deliver theoretical lectures to our cadres in various cities of the Northeast, and to visit factories, schools, and rural villages, then please make arrangements for this, assigning competent interpreters, guides, and security personnel, and arranging an appropriate number of cadres for lecture sessions and discussion forums at each location.
