Commentary on the North China Bureau’s Directive Regarding the Campaign to Suppress Counterrevolutionaries in Factories, Enterprises, and Schools (April 23, 1951) To all Central Bureaus, with copy forwarded to sub-bureaus, provincial committees, regional party committees, and municipal committees of large and medium-sized cities: This is the North China Bureau’s directive on launching the campaign to suppress counterrevolutionaries in factories, enterprises, and schools, which is being circulated for your reference. Such a campaign is indeed necessary. If experience in this area is still limited, it may be advisable first to select key areas for pilot implementation, thereby gaining practical experience and making thorough preparations before extending the campaign more broadly. Particular attention should be paid to propaganda work and to ensuring accuracy. Mao Zedong April 23 Based on the manuscript.
