Comment on the Work Report on Suppressing Counterrevolutionaries
(February 7, 1951)

To the South China Sub-Bureau, with copies to the Central-South Bureau and the Guangxi Provincial Committee:

(1) The Sub-Bureau’s report of January 19 on the work of eliminating counterrevolutionaries in Guangdong and Guangxi provinces has been received. Such self-criticism is very good. The Sub-Bureau is requested to distribute this report to all prefectural, municipal, and county Party committees under the jurisdiction of Guangdong and Guangxi, to the Party committees of the military units involved in bandit suppression work, and to the leading Party groups in the government, so as to draw everyone’s attention to it.

(2) At the end of the report, it is stated that the Sub-Bureau is in the process of drafting new concrete measures for eliminating counterrevolutionaries. Has this measure already been drafted? It is hoped that it will be reported by telegram to the Central-South Bureau and to us at the earliest possible date.
