To Dai Yuben[1]

(January 14, 1951)

Mr. Yuben:

Your letter of December 28 has reached me, and I was very glad to receive it. If you have made up your mind and can endure hardship, I agree to your coming to Beijing to study for a period at the People's Revolutionary University, after which you may take up the work you are familiar with. Alternatively, you may come to Beijing directly to engage in medical work without attending the school. When you come, you may present this letter to Comrade Li Weihan, Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, for arrangements. If you already have work in Hunan and can settle down there, it would be better not to come.

This is my reply. With my best regards.

The same to Brother Ximei.[2]
