Press Release on the Liberation of Pyongyang and Comrade Mao Zedong’s Instructions for Its Broadcast (December 6, 1950) I (Xinhua News Agency, December 6): Our correspondent reporting from the Korean front reports: Today the Korean People’s Army and the Chinese People’s Volunteers have liberated Pyongyang. The invading forces of the United States and other countries, together with the remnants of Syngman Rhee’s bandit troops, are in headlong retreat southward from Pyongyang.
