Peng, Deng, Piao, Hong,[1] and inform Gao, He, Song, Tao[2]

(1) Congratulations on your great victory in annihilating the main force of the puppet 2nd Corps.

(2) The current task is to concentrate our 42nd, 38th, 40th, and 39th Armies to annihilate the main forces of three enemy divisions: the U.S. 1st Cavalry Division,[3] the 2nd Division, and the 25th Division. Once the main forces of these three divisions are wiped out, the overall situation will become very favorable.

(3) The U.S. 1st Cavalry Division (two regiments) is currently moving between Tokchon, Kujang,[4] and Songchon, with the aim of securing the Songchon–Sunchon area to block our southward advance. Our 42nd Army should independently undertake the task of annihilating this enemy force.

(4) The 2nd and 25th Divisions under the command of the U.S. IX Corps are in the areas of Kujang, Won-ri, Kunu-ri,[5] and Kaechon. Our 38th, 40th, and 39th Armies should undertake the task of attacking and annihilating these enemy forces. This is a very important battle; order all armies to exert their utmost efforts.
