CCP Central Military Commission Telegram Concerning the Movements of the ROK Capital Division and the U.S. 2nd Infantry Division (November 2, 1950)  To Peng Dehuai and Deng Hua [1]:   (1) The main body of the ROK Capital Division remains along the Bukchong–Chongjin line and north of it.
The 1st Battalion of its 18th Regiment has moved to Sinhung-ri, northwest of Hamheung.
Please inform the 42nd Army to remain on alert.   (2) The U.S. 2nd Infantry Division began moving northward from Pyongyang and areas south of it today.
Please instruct the 38th Army to secure and hold Anju and Kunuri to block the enemy’s northward advance.
Meanwhile, the 125th Division should promptly dispatch a portion of its forces from Tokchon toward Sunchon and other locations to threaten Pyongyang.
