Telegram to Gao Gang[1] Concerning the Immediate Forward Transport of Provisions for the Volunteer Army
(October 15, 1950)
Comrade Gao Gang, with Deng, Hong, Han, and Xie[2]:
(1) Our People’s Volunteer Army has decided to begin crossing the river and advancing on October 18, or at the latest on the 19th. Provisions and the like must therefore be immediately transported forward without delay. This is essential. (2) Comrade Peng Dehuai[3] will return to Andong[4] today or tomorrow.
