Letter to Guo Zicai
(August 29, 1950)

Zicai my fellow student,
I have received your letter and am deeply gratified. In Beijing there are more people than work available, so regarding my brother’s employment problem, it would still be more suitable to approach friends locally who are familiar with my brother’s circumstances to plan a solution. Such is my humble opinion, and I hope you will consider it. Here is my reply, with
salutations
and respect!
To Mr. Liu Tianmin, please convey the same greetings.
(I have not received Mr. Liu’s letter.)
