East China Bureau, and Tang, Zhang, Zhou, relay to Comrade Su Yu:

Chairman Mao previously telegraphed Su, requesting him to come to Beijing in early August, and depending on the circumstances, either to stay in Beijing to recuperate or to take up work. Su has now gone to Qingdao to recuperate, which is very good. Su is requested to report his health condition by telegram in early August. If his illness is serious, he should continue to recuperate in Qingdao and not come to Beijing; if his illness has already healed, he is expected to come to Beijing.
