To Zhang Junming in Sichuan
(June 27, 1950)

Mr. Junming:

Your letter of June 20 has been received, for which I am most grateful. I am extremely pleased to be informed of various situations.

Hunan is now beginning the rectification of cadres' work style. After a few months, certain shortcomings may perhaps be corrected, but how things ultimately turn out will still depend on whether the rectification education is effective. Should you observe anything about conditions in the countryside, I would appreciate it if you could let me know at any time.

With salutations and
respectful regards,
Mao Zedong
