A paragraph rewritten when finalizing the "Statement of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on the Situation in Japan" (June 12, 1950)

The history since the beginning of the communist movement, and especially the history since the Second World War, has run counter to all the wild hopes of the reactionaries of all times, of the imperialists of all countries, and of the present-day U.S. imperialists. The history of the reactionaries is a history of failure, and the history of the revolutionary people is a history of victory. The reactionaries sometimes appear very rampant and achieve some "victories" in suppressing the people, but in the end, none fail to fail. The revolutionary people sometimes also suffer some setbacks, but in the end, none fail to be victorious. The history of the entire world is written this way, without a single exception. The victory of the Chinese people's revolution is the most recent proof.
