Letter to Li Shuyi [1] (April 18, 1950) Comrade Shuyi: Your letter has been received. The sacrifice of Zhixun [2], the raising of his orphaned child, and the hardships you have endured are deeply moving and greatly reassuring. As for studying Marxism-Leninism, you may do so in your spare time from work; there is no need to travel all the way to Beijing to achieve this goal. Please convey my regards to the two elder gentlemen, Xiao Dan and Wuting [3]. Wishing you good health. Mao Zedong April 18, 1950 Printed from the manuscript.
