Central Committee Telegram to Wang Jiaxiang [I] Regarding the Time for Mao Zedong to Go to Moscow
(November 9, 1949)

Comrade Jiaxiang:
We have already requested Comrade Kovalyov [2] to inform Comrade Stalin and ask him to decide on the time for Chairman Mao to go to Moscow. We believe that Chairman Mao can depart for Moscow in early December. As for whether Comrade Enlai should accompany Chairman Mao to Moscow, or whether the question of Enlai going and when he should go should be decided after Chairman Mao arrives in Moscow, we also request Comrade Stalin to consider and decide on this point.
