Letter to Feng Youlan[1]

(October 13, 1949)

Mr. Youlan:

Your letter of October 5 has been received. We welcome people's progress. For someone like you, who has made mistakes in the past but is now prepared to correct them, it would be good if you can put this into practice. There is no need to rush for results; you can make the corrections gradually. It is always advisable to adopt an honest attitude. This is my reply.

With respectful wishes for your well-being in teaching!
