During the period of China’s New Democratic Revolution, overseas Chinese made tremendous contributions to the people’s revolutionary cause of the motherland and were one of the important targets of the Chinese Communist Party’s united front.
On October 1, 1949, when the People’s Republic of China was founded, Mao Zedong wrote this inscription for the overseas compatriots.
