Letter to Feng Youlan[1]
(October 13, 1949)

Dear Mr. Youlan,

Your letter of October 5 has been received. We welcome people’s progress. For someone like you, who has made mistakes in the past and is now prepared to correct them, it would be good if you can put this into practice. There is no need to be impatient for results; you can correct them gradually. It is always advisable to adopt an honest attitude. This is my reply.

Respectful wishes for your well-being in teaching!
