The National Army Should Be Renamed the People's Liberation Army[1]

Peng, Gan, and the Northwest Bureau:
Your telegram of the 9th at you time has been received. (1) One person from the Yining National Army[2] must serve as deputy commander of the Xinjiang[3] Provincial Military Region, as stated in the previous telegram. (2) The National Army should be renamed the People's Liberation Army. They have already expressed this intention and have requested that we send political work personnel. This matter, along with the number of divisions to be organized and their specific designations, will be decided after you[4] arrive in Dihua[5] and consult with the responsible persons of the National Army. (3) A portion of the National Army should proceed to Dihua, and another portion to Wusu. This matter will also be decided after consultation.
