Telegram to Wang Yaowu, Du Yuming, Huang Wei, and Others
(October 5, 1949)

To the Shandong Sub-bureau, and for the information of the East China Bureau:

The Kuomintang is spreading rumors that Wang Yaowu, Du Yuming, Huang Wei, and others have all been killed by us. To expose this, when Cheng Qian, Chen Mingren, and Li Minghao return from Beijing to Hunan and pass through Jinan, they will stay in Jinan for one or two days to see Wang, Du, Huang, and others. They may also visit Mount Tai and Qufu for sightseeing. Please make preparations and provide proper hospitality (Chen and Li will leave Beijing around October 10, and Cheng Qian will leave Beijing slightly later). If Wang, Du, Huang, and others are in Qingzhou, please transfer them to Jinan in advance. Awaiting your reply.
