To Huang Yanpei[1]
(October 5, 1949)

Mr. Ren Zhi:

I have respectfully received your kind letter of the 3rd. I deeply appreciate your goodwill! After the promulgation of the Common Program, it seems to me inadvisable to immediately repeat in another form what has already been stated therein, such as matters concerning economic issues. Therefore, aside from official announcements, I do not intend to issue any personal documents for the time being; this appears to be the more appropriate course. That is my reply.

Respectfully wishing you great peace!
