The full text of Wang Shoudao’s August 21 report to Mao Zedong, Lin Biao, and Deng Zihui is as follows: “The 158th Division (formerly under the 46th Army) has been assigned to the Changsha Sub-district. The 160th Division (formerly under the 47th Army) has been assigned to the Changde Sub-district. The 162nd Division (formerly under the 49th Army) has been assigned to the Yiyang Sub-district and is currently still in Henan.” This is the main content of Mao Zedong’s reply telegram to Wang Shoudao, with copies to Lin Biao and Deng Zihui, after receiving Wang Shoudao’s report.
