[1] The North China Military and Political University was a school for training military and administrative cadres in the North China Liberated Area during the War of Liberation. It was established in 1948 on the basis of the former branch of the Anti-Japanese Military and Political University in the Shanxi-Hebei-Shandong-Henan Liberated Area. In 1949, on the occasion of its first anniversary, Mao Zedong wrote this inscription for it.
