To Zhou Gucheng1
(June 28, 1949)
Mr. Gucheng:
I was very gratified to receive your book; it was like seeing my old friend.
All of us are very happy that the revolution is in its heyday. There are still some
difficulties to come. We must unify the majority of the masses in order to prevail
over the resistance of imperialism. I hope we can combine our efforts to this end!
Best wishes!
Mao Zedong
