No Foreign Country or the United Nations Has the Right to Interfere in China’s Internal Affairs

(February 13, 1949)

No foreign government or United Nations organization has absolutely any right to interfere in China’s internal affairs. The suggestion by the Australian foreign minister regarding United Nations interference in China’s internal affairs is absurd and insulting to the Chinese people. The disgraceful statements by Kuomintang reactionary traitorous clique spokesmen such as Sun Fo and Pan Gongzhan merely demonstrate their consistent traitorous stance. The Nanjing Kuomintang traitorous government, after its January 8 appeal to the governments of the United States, Britain, France, and the Soviet Union for intervention failed, is still dreaming of new international intervention. But any such attempt, regardless of its source or the name under which it is made, can only meet with the resolute opposition of the Chinese people.
