Xinhua Bookstore

The store name inscribed by Mao Zedong for Xinhua Bookstore for the third time.

[1] To greet the nationwide liberation, Mao Zedong placed boundless hopes on the comrades working in publishing and distribution posts. At Xibaipo, he inscribed the store name for Xinhua Bookstore for the third time. After writing it, he repeatedly deliberated over it, and when he felt satisfied, he handed it to Hua Yingshen, head of the Publishing Section of the Central Propaganda Department, who sent someone to deliver it to the relevant departments at the front lines of the People's Liberation Army in the Beiping-Tianjin area. After nationwide liberation, a large number of Xinhua Bookstores were rapidly established in Beijing and across the country, and their store names all took as the standard the "Xinhua Bookstore" inscribed by Mao Zedong for the third time, up to the present.
