Agree with Lin, Luo, Liu’s Opinion on Military Disposition[1]

Lin, Luo, Liu, and inform Yang, Luo, Geng, and Yang, Li[2]:

(1) Your telegram of the 16th at 16:00 hours received. (2) Act immediately according to Lin, Luo, Liu’s opinion: move the entire 4th Column to Zhangjiakou and place it under Yang and Li’s command, position it west of Zhangjiakou to prevent the enemy from fleeing westward. Move the 11th Column to the Badaling, Nankou, Shahezhen area to take over the 4th Column’s defense. The above is to be ordered and executed by Lin, Luo, Liu forthwith.

[2] Yang, Luo, Geng refers to Yang Dezhi, Luo Ruiqing, and Geng Biao, who were respectively commander, political commissar, and chief of staff of the Second Corps of the North China Military Region at the time. Yang, Li refers to Yang Chengwu and Li Tianhuan, who were respectively commander and deputy political commissar concurrently director of the political department of the Third Corps of the North China Military Region at the time.
