Masthead of the Jinsui Daily inscribed by Mao Zedong.

[1] The Jinsui Daily was the official newspaper of the Jin-Sui Sub-bureau of the CPC during the War of Liberation. Its predecessor was the Kangzhan Ribao (War of Resistance Daily), launched on September 18, 1940, and renamed on July 1, 1946. Its content mainly consisted of editorials, international and domestic news, and local reports, propagating the policies of the Communist Party of China and guiding local work. On April 2, 1948, Mao Zedong delivered the "Talk to the Editorial Staff of the Jinsui Daily" to its editorial personnel. The Jinsui Daily ceased publication on May 1, 1949. This is the masthead Mao Zedong inscribed for the Jinsui Daily in April 1948.
