Telegram to Deng Xiaoping (March 14, 1948)

Comrade Xiaoping:

Your telegram of yin-qi has been received. It is extremely good. Forward it immediately to all localities for emulation and handling. I hope you will universally communicate the strategic viewpoints and policy viewpoints you have mentioned to the various units of Chen-Tang and Chen-Xie, as well as to comrades in the Henan-Anhui-Jiangsu Border Region—to all comrades whom your radio station can contact, or to whom you can send letters by horseback, or with whom you can meet in person. Whenever there is an opportunity, lose no time in guiding them, and require them to report the results back to you.

Mao Zedong
yin-han

[1] The telegram of yin-qi refers to Deng Xiaoping’s report of March 8 to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on the comprehensive strategy and policy issues in the newly liberated areas.
