Mr. Zhu Xuefan:
We received your telegram of the 29th. We are pleased to learn of your arrival
in Harbin and we are greatly moved and gratified by your determination to cooperate with the Chinese Communist Party in struggling on behalf of the great
common undertaking of the Chinese people’s democratic revolution. We enthusiastically welcome this action of yours and similar actions by other true followers
of Sun Yatsen.
Greetings from the Chinese people’s democratic revolution!

1.  Zhu Xuefan (1905–1996, born in Jinshan, Shanghai) was director of the China
Labor Association and vice-president of the World Federation of Trade Unions. After the
establishment of the People’s Republic of China, he became minister of Posts and Telecommunications and then vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s
Congress.
