Added Remarks on the Notice on Democratic Life in the Troops Drafted by the General Political Department of the Central Military Commission[1]

(February 1948)

Both the Northwest Field Army and the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Field Army have, during battles, boldly mobilized company-level soldiers to hold meetings to discuss how to overcome enemy fortifications and positions that were difficult to capture, achieving tremendous results.

[1] On February 17, 1948, the General Political Department of the Central Military Commission of the CPC Central Committee drafted a notice on democratic life in the troops. This is a passage added by Mao Zedong when reviewing the notice.
