[1] This is the main content of a telegram drafted by Mao Zedong for the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, addressed to Lin Biao, Commander and Political Commissar of the Northeast People’s Liberation Army, Deputy Political Commissars Luo Ronghuan, Gao Gang, and Chen Yun, and all commanders and fighters. Beginning in January 1948, with the approval of the Military Commission of the CPC Central Committee, the Northeast Democratic United Army was renamed the Northeast People’s Liberation Army (comprising the Northeast Military Region and the Northeast Field Army).
