Reply to Xu Xiangqian, Teng Daiyuan, Bo Yibo, and Others[1]

(September 26, 1947)

The plan proposed by Xu, Teng, and Bo on the 24th—“using Peng and Luo[2] to keep watch on the enemy at Linfen, concentrating two brigades of the Eighth Column to capture Yuncheng, then moving north to seize Linfen when the opportunity arises and strike Yan’s enemy forces”—is very good. It is to be resolutely carried out.
