Telegram to the Central China Sub-Bureau[1]

(August 17, 1946)

The work in the sub-district west of the Huai North Road is extremely important. You should dispatch Wu Zhipu[2] and a large number of other Party, government, military, and civilian work cadres to that area to work without delay. This is of the utmost importance.

[2] Wu Zhipu was then serving as Secretary of the 8th Prefectural Committee of the Central China Sub-Bureau and concurrently as Political Commissar of the 8th Military Sub-District of the Central China Military Region.
