Telegram to Wang Zhen and Others[1]

(July 29, 1946)

(1) We are much gratified that you have arrived at Anwu and Heishan via the Shangshan highway and have made arrangements for dispersed guerrilla warfare. (2) Li, Ren, Wen, and others are no longer to advance westward; they are to split into seven groups and wage guerrilla warfare on the spot.

[1] This is the main content of a telegram drafted by Mao Zedong for the Military Commission of the CPC Central Committee to Wang Zhen, with copies to Li Xiannian, Wen Jianwu, and Ren Zhibin.
