A paragraph added when revising "Unconditional Ceasefire Should Be Implemented in the Northeast"[1]

(April 12, 1946)

The resolution of the Northeast issue should begin from this point; there is no other way. Should there not be an unconditional ceasefire in the Northeast? Is this not the demand of the entire nation?

[1] This is a paragraph added by Mao Zedong when revising the editorial "Unconditional Ceasefire Should Be Implemented in the Northeast" published in Liberation Daily. This paragraph was inserted after the sentence calling on the Kuomintang authorities to "first cease the offensive and stop reinforcing troops."
