Conversation with Lin Boqu and Others[1]

(January 30, 1945)

Opinions and criticisms are always helpful to us. When people say the Party monopolizes everything, there is always a reason for it, and we must study and resolve it. All correct opinions must be studied and resolved.

[1] On January 30, 1945, Mao Zedong, Zhu De, and Ren Bishi listened to reports from Lin Boqu and Li Weihan on the opinions raised by non-Party personages during the inspection of the work of the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region Government. Some non-Party personages felt they had positions but no power, and that non-Party members were discriminated against. This is part of Mao Zedong’s conversation with Lin Boqu and Li Weihan after hearing the reports.
