Letter to Shen Yanbing1
(November 21, 1944)
Dear Brother Yanbing:
It has been several years since we parted. I have heard that you have been
troubled by illness recently and I wonder if you are feeling better now. Thinking
of the past when you were in Yan’an, I still regret today that we did not have
enough good conversations and I did not learn much from you. I very much look
forward to seeing you, but I do not know if we will have the opportunity.
Wishing you good health!
Mao Zedong
