Reply Letter to Jia Tuofu[1]

(November 2, 1942)

The talk can probably be given around the 10th; we will discuss and finalize the date then. Please have the Twelve Articles on Bolshevization and the fourth and fifth points of the concluding remarks printed in letterpress or mimeographed in a number of copies corresponding to the size of the audience, and distribute them in advance for their study. For the translation of the Twelve Articles, use the most recent version rendered by Shi Zhe[2]; please take note.

[1] This is the main content of Mao Zedong’s reply letter to Jia Tuofu. Jia Tuofu was then serving as Secretary-General of the Northwest Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

[2] Shi Zhe was then serving as Mao Zedong’s Russian-language interpreter.
